Hello and welcome to my blog!  I’m a 28 year old who had the crazy idea to buy a house built in 1857, and fix it up.  I’m really excited about this step in my life, and possibly career.  While I’ve never done this before, I have been living in and doing some work on my parents home build it in 1897.  I’m a big fan of keeping things as original as possible.

Although many categorize my generation as people that seem to think everything is disposable, I find it essential to preserve history whenever we can.  Plus, it’s also environmentally and economically friendly to reuse and up-cycle.  I hope to inspire people to do the same and think outside of the box with their home improvement projects.  While this is huge undertaking, I’m looking forward to the challenges and successes that lay ahead.
