I have no patience for surprises that I know are lingering. Christmas presents, birthday presents, graduation presents, whether giving or receiving them, I get too excited and need to know RIGHT NOW! My fresh new floors are no different.

I stopped by the house today to pick something up before I my window of entering would close. I was informed that my first coat of polyurethane would be going on today. And everything will be finished by Sunday. AHHH!!!! So like the child that I am, I promptly left work at 5pm, and flailed over to the house. Thankfully, the door to the first floor was open and I could see the living room.

Standing like a grade A creep, I just stood in the front door squealing to myself and trying to take a photo. I got quite the look from the lady walking her dog. At that point, I realized I had my face up to the window and was peering in. It probably made more sense and was less suspicious to just open the door. So I did.

The lighting and angle are not the same for the newest picture. Something I’m fully aware of, but, since it’s been a few days since the last blog, I thought everyone would be interested to see what I had going on! These bad boys are still a work in progress, but, I can say that I am PUMPED! I hope that it just gets better with the next few coats.

There are more rooms to finish and more patience to be had, but, I’m excited!!! This should turn out just as I pictured it in my crazy little fantastical head.

And the clock to painting time keeps ticking…
